About me...

Hi! My name is Anita Vickers, your new virtual assistant.

I have over 17 years of experience, working in many different industries and in a number of different roles.

I started my working career in the NHS, working as an administrator in a doctor's surgery. This was part-time during university but turned into a full-time role once I graduated. At this point I was promoted to a management role, managing a team of five receptionists and administrators.

I then began working at London Calling, an arts marketing agency. Over the 7 years I worked there, I was promoted from administrator to Office Manager and then to Online Brand Manager. As Office Manager, I handled month-end accounts as well as the operations of the business. The company then created a new digital department; I was appointed the Online Brand Manager, managing and growing our social media channels, and building and populating the What's On website londoncalling.com. I assisted the marketing manager in creating email campaigns and building our subscriber list.

Consequently, I was lucky enough to go and work for a restaurant group as the Office Manager and Marketing Executive. This role quickly grew to include reservations and events management. I helped develop the design of the menus, editing and proofreading them each day before printing. Here, I gained valuable experience working in hospitality and expanding my food knowledge. I was involved in everything from social media management, email marketing, recruitment and ordering.

Following this, I took on a role at The O2, working with the in-house caterers. As the PA to the Director of Catering, not only did I manage his inbox and diary, help with reports and assist with meetings and presentations, I also worked closely with AEG's Global Partnerships Team, nurturing partner relations, and implementing new products into the venue. I became the chief proofreader of menus for each of the bars and restaurants within the venue, overseeing all edits and changes.

After a short break, I started work for Virtalent, a virtual assistant recruitment agency, talking to new clients about hiring a virtual assistant. I wrote briefs and proposals for clients, and assisted with new recruits, writing virtual assistant profiles. I also did some blog writing for the company website.

I am passionate about and love food. I have a serious cookbook addiction and like to spend my spare time reading food columns, recipes and blogs about food online, and, of course, cooking!
